As a family of 5 with children aged 7-13, we chose the family room. It was perfect for us, with plenty of space for luggage and lounging. There was a desk for working and two tvs, though we were too exhausted to watch any. The beds were large and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious with a large walk in shower and twin basins. It was well thought out with lots of surfaces for toiletries, something that is often lacking in hotels. The location was great - a stone’s throw from Madison Square Gardens and about 15 mins brisk walk from Times Square. The street it’s on is just off a main street alongside other hotels so was pretty quiet without being isolated. There was a gym with a small selection of equipment but enough for a good workout. Housekeeping was excellent. They kept our room spotlessly clean and tidy, replenishing our tea and coffee facilities daily, emptying the bins, changing the towels and making all the beds. It was nice to come back to our room after a busy day in the city.-Joanne United Kingdom I Booking.com
This was a great location, value and hotel for a quick trip to the city.
The location was an easy walk from the train station and easy access to restaurants and other areas in Midtown. The bedroom was a nice size for 4 of us, and the bathroom was huge by NYC standards. Everything was neat and clean and the room was quiet. Also, it's right by a police precinct, so we felt very safe walking around the area.-Patricia United States I Booking.com
Comfortable stay tucked away in a great Midtown location
Excellent location, bed was super comfortable, room had everything I needed for a nice and convenient stay. Easy to come and go at all hours. Was a small issue with something being misplaced during room cleaning but staff were helpful in communicating and resolving that so a thanks to them too.-Robert Australia I Booking.com
“Exceptional”
Location too good just near subway. Lots of Restaurants nearby. Rooms are big than other hotels in NY. Manager Mr Suman was very helpful.-Saurav from India I Agoda
“The front desk staff is kind.”
When I entered the building, the front staff kindly greeted me with a smile. The cost performance is good for a hotel in New York. If you're looking for a clean hotel near Penn Station, I recommend it! I will repeat my stay.-keisuke from United States I Agoda

Great accommodations for a quick trip
It was close to many things that we wanted to do. The staff was helpful answering our questions. The beds were very comfortable. I slept like a rock, which surprised me because I know New York is very noisy.-Tracie United States I Booking.com
Nice, affordable room near the Penn Station
The room was quiet and large. The beds were queens and very comfy. The room was nicely apportioned as was the bathroom. The location was also great for me as it was near the Penn Station.-Maria Philippines I Booking.com

The property was very clean. It was cleaned every day. With supplies replenished daily.-Abigail United Kingdom I Booking.com
Convenient, clean and comfy!
Although small, the room had everything we needed. The beds were extremely comfortable and clean. The air conditioning was great considering the summer heat. The bathroom was clean and of a decent size. Staff were helpful and even took care of our bags when we checked out on the last day so that we could enjoy the city without our bags. The location is within a 10 minute walk of Times Square and 30 seconds from Penn Station - which is particularly helpful when travelling to/from JFK.-Lara United Kingdom I Booking.com
Very good!
I absolutely loved the location! As a first-time visitor to NYC, it was ideally located within walking distance of Times Square, Madison Square Gardens, Hudson River, everything!! There is a subway entrance on the corner, so taking the train back to JFK was so easy! I loved how spacious the room was and how comfortable the bed was. And the hold on my credit card for the security deposit was removed in an extremely timely manner. Overall, a great stay!-Watson Trinidad and Tobago I Booking.com
“Good hotel”
I stayed for a week in a 2-bedroom. The room size was sufficient, and housekeeping was fine. I was surprisingly left with the impression that it was quiet, despite being in NY. It might depend on the direction of the room. There is also a self-laundry nearby.-KEIGO from Japan I Agoda
The Most Spacious Hotel in Midtown
The rooms here are spacious. The people at the front desk are all friendly. MD checked us in, and he was thorough and kind. He made the work trip even better as he upgraded my room. It is in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen with great restaurants.-Venture 557091 | TripAdvisor
“Excellent”
Great location. Easy to reach from the airport via Sky Train and subway to Penn Station. Handy to Times Square for shows and tours. Exceptionally clean. Very comfortable bed. Great to have coffee making facility. Noisy air con kept me awake at night until I turned it off on 3rd night. Quiet otherwise. Didn’t really interact with staff apart from checkin and checkout and the maid who was lovely. Didn’t use the gym or other facilities. Would recommend if you get a last minute booking as we did.-Debbie from New Zealand I Agoda
Clean, Courteous and Convenient

“Location location ”
Location is good, close by the subway, liberty bagel, laundromat and convenience stores. About 12 min or 10 block walk to Times Square. Staff is nice. Room is clean although may not be the newest and roomiest room comparing to Marriott, springs hill typical. The hotel lobby/ restaurant area is a plus for family to bring breakfast/ snack back to the hotel to enjoy as there is not always seat/ table rapidly available in the restaurants nearby. There is water for free and convenient bottle refill. Price is reasonable. Family had a good 4-day stay in this hotel and would recommend it if price stays reasonable.-Michelle I Agoda
All in all, a great option for families!
Our room was as pictured when I reserved it several months ago. For our family of 5, it was great. Spacious which was great! Our beds were made daily, trash taken out and towels changed out, it would have been nice if it had been swept daily but overall very pleased with housekeeping.-Meredith United States I Booking.com
“Great choice of hotel”
I stayed at Tryp Wyndham New York City, Times Square with another 2 family members. It worked excellently got our 2 night stay. So easy and convenient for walking to many attractions, subway is close and also Penn mainline from the airport. Very clean and spacious rooms with everything we needed . I would recommend to friends and stay there again.-Lynda from United Kingdom I Agoda

“Location and staff”
My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights and had a great vacation! The location is perfect-less than a block away from 34th-Penn station. You can walk to many many sites, The Vessel, the HighLine, and Broadway theatres. The staff were great-we saw MD every evening and he always checked in with us and made sure we were comfortable and content. The AC was fixed while we were there and there were no problems with this at all. We stayed in room 809-it was huge by NYC standards. The room was cleaned every single day without asking. The bathroom was very clean. The fixtures in the room were a bit run down, but everything worked. It was surprisingly quiet from street noise! We were never woken up from sirens. The bed was in good shape-on the firmer side. They arranged for our taxi to the airport without any issues. Would stay there again for sure. It is expensive, but, I think it is comparable to all the hotels we looked at. We did not use the gym, or the restaurant.-Cindy from Canada I Agoda
This are is a little crazy but so close to Penn Station that it made sense for a quick stay.
They upgraded our room to a large suite and it was super roomy and comfortable. Location great for a quick trip.-Linda United States I Booking.com
“The location is excellent.”
It was great to stay cheaply in Manhattan. Since I came from Washington, D.C., it was also convenient that Penn Station was nearby, and the location was perfect as it is close to Times Square.-Haruki from Japan I Agoda
Ideal hotel to base oneself exploring Manhattan.
Very central, rooms were clean, we used as a base for exploring Manhattan. Really close to Penn Station, didn’t have much interaction with staff but those that we did were very pleasant, in particular the maintenance man who we met on our first evening. Aircon was perfectly cool and beds were comfy. There were changes for bath, hand and face towels every day, tea and coffee facilities in the room along with a small fridge and sink.-David Ireland I Booking.com
The Tryp is conveniently located and a comfortable stay; I look forward to a third stay.
